Evening shows on Phu Quoc
Most of what is staged after dark on Phu Quoc happens in two resort districts at opposite ends of the island: Sunset Town in the south and Grand World in the north. Here are the times the operators publish, what we could not confirm, what weather does to the schedule, and how to get back.

What 'evening shows' means here
Phu Quoc has no theatre district in the ordinary sense. The large shows are run by the two resort operators in their own districts, next to their parks. Around them are free things: the sunset from the west coast, the shrine at Dinh Cau, the markets described on Night markets.
This page describes what is staged and when. It does not compare the shows or sell tickets; operators and their agents do that. Times below come from the operators' own pages on the date shown, and they change with the season and the weather.
Sunset Town, in the south
Sunset Town (Thi tran Hoang Hon) is the seafront district near An Thoi where the Hon Thom cable car starts. Its landmark for the evening is the Kiss Bridge (Cau Hon), designed by the Italian architect Marco Casamonti and opened in December 2023: two spans that stop about 30 cm short of each other. The operator says the bridge is open from about 07:00 to 23:00, and claims that on 1 January the sun sets exactly in the gap between the spans.

At 17:00 daily the operator lists a 15-minute show in front of the bridge, Awaken Sea (Dai duong thuc giac), with jet-skis and flyboards. Later in the evening there are two larger productions. Symphony of the Sea combines lights, fireworks, jet-ski and flyboard riders and is produced by H2O Events and LaserVision. Kiss of the Sea is a multimedia show with 60 international performers, fire, water, light and 3D projection, ending in fireworks; the operator lists its outdoor theatre with a 2025 Guinness record for the largest water screen and capacity.
We could not find the start time or ticket price of Kiss of the Sea or Symphony of the Sea on an official page on 12 October 2026. Resellers' listings disagree, including on whether the show runs every day. Confirm with the operator on the day.

Grand World, in the north
Grand World is the canal, bamboo and shopping district next to Bai Dai, in the north-west of the island. In the evening it runs a fixed sequence, published on the operator's page:

Tinh Hoa Viet Nam is a ticketed show; the operator's ticket widget lists adult, child and senior categories but showed no prices when we read it. The operator's own guide from December 2025 describes the district as open around the clock and notes that the schedule can change with the weather. The district is about 24 km from Duong Dong and 38 km from the airport.

The free show: sunset
The west coast faces open sea, and the sunset is the evening event most visitors share. The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism singles out Long Beach for its unobstructed sunsets; in Duong Dong, people gather on the rocks by Dinh Cau, where VietnamPlus suggests about 17:00 to 18:00 as the time to watch, depending on the season. On the east side, Bai Khem is one of the few places on the island to watch the sun rise over the sea.

Rain, wind and cancelled shows
Water shows, fireworks and flyboards are the first things cut when the wind gets up. Grand World's operator says its schedule can change with the weather; we found no weather threshold published by either operator. In practice that matters most in the southwest monsoon, roughly May to October, and on the windy days of the northeast monsoon.
- Buy tickets for a fixed-time show only once you have seen the day's forecast, if the seller allows it.
- Ask the seller what happens to the ticket if the show is cancelled for weather: refund, another date or nothing.
- Keep a covered plan for the same evening: a restaurant, the markets, or an indoor attraction.
Getting there and back
The two districts are at opposite ends of a 50 km island. The Kiss Bridge is about 20 to 30 minutes by car from Duong Dong or the airport, according to its operator; Grand World is about 24 km from Duong Dong. A night that starts at one and ends at the other is not practical.
- Ride-hailing. Grab cars are easiest around Duong Dong and Long Beach and thin out in the north, at remote beaches and late at night. Agree a pick-up before the show if you are staying far away.
- Taxis. Mai Linh, Vinasun and the electric Xanh SM fleet operate on the island.
- VinBus. Buses link the airport with Grand World; check the current timetable on the operator's route map before relying on a late bus.
- Inside Sunset Town. The district buggy and the free evening shuttle listed on the operator's page.

When an evening show is a bad idea
- On a stormy evening in the southwest monsoon. The outdoor and water-based shows are the ones most likely to be cut.
- With very young children and a long drive back. The last shows end after 22:00, then add 30 to 60 minutes on the road.
- If you want something local. These are resort productions. Dinh Cau on a festival night, or a market at sunset, gives a different picture of the island.
- If you are relying on a late ride from the north. Book the return before you go in.

What time does Kiss of the Sea start?
The operator's pages we could read did not publish a start time on 12 October 2026, and resellers disagree. Confirm on the day with the operator or the seller.
What time are the Grand World evening shows?
The operator lists Tinh Hoa Viet Nam at 20:15–21:00, a lantern release at 21:00, Colours of Venice at 21:30–22:00 and a laser show at 22:45–22:50. The schedule can change with the weather.
Can I see both Sunset Town and Grand World in one evening?
Not comfortably. They are at opposite ends of the island and the main shows overlap in time.
